Shelley Stangler has practiced law for over 28 years. She began her career as a litigator for the City of New York in its civil torts division, handling multiple jury trials in her seven years of public service. She went on to become the managing attorney at the New Jersey personal injury firm of Jacoby & Meyers before opening her own practice in 1999. She currently sits on the Board of Governors for the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association) and is past President of Women Lawyers in Union County. She is a presenter on civil rights, education and personal injury litigation for NJAJ, the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and other organizations. Ms. Stangler has achieved  notable victories in high-profile and precedent-setting cases, including a multimillion-dollar personal injury case and one of the largest awards in state history to a victim of police brutality.

Our legal assistant, Melissa Figueroa, speaks Spanish. She has 10 years experience working in the legal field and has a paralegal certificate from the Horizon Institute in Linden, New Jersey.
